Dawson Creek waterfront community consists of 820 acres of a combination of woodlands, farmlands, coastal marsh and fresh water wetlands. It is located only a few miles outside the Village of Oriental, North Carolina, known as the "Sailing Capitol of the South", the crown jewel of the Inner Banks. You'll find easy access to the Neuse River, Pamlico Sound, Intra-Coastal Waterway, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Unlike the typical coastal community, you will not have to build your house on stilts in Dawson Creek. Our homesites have high elevations allowing you to build a standard constructed home.

Amenities
A waterfront community in the southern living tradition is planned in Section I, with construction beginning in Spring 2008. It will consist of a clubhouse overlooking Dawson Creek complete with meeting and gathering rooms, kitchen, handicapped bathroom facilities, fitness center, swimming pool and tennis courts. Adjacent to the clubhouse will be a waterfront park complete with picnic area, fishing pier, gazebo, canoe/kayak launching and docking facility.

Marina
Dawson Creek is a true boating community. Daniels Point Marina, a 634-slip inland boat basic with a boat launch is planned for the lot owners in Dawson Creek and is currently going through the permit approval process. The marina will be owned and operated by the boat slip owners. Slips from 25 feet to 50 feet will have water and electricity and be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The current price is $1,500 per linear foot with incremental price increases planned. Overlooking the marina will be the Harbor Club with additional amenities. A restaurant and ship store are also being planned. Although the marina is only a short distance to the Neuse River, it will provide the necessary storm protection, with an estimated cost of $500 per year to the slip owners to maintain the marina.

Local Area
Located only three miles from Dawson Creek Community is the historic Village of Oriental, where you'll find a nice selection of indoor and outdoor restaurants, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Oriental is quickly becoming an art community and frequently is host to music and theater events, in addition to the local community festivals.
